QUESTION

Well, heres is the Question: Should I cover all the open promenade areas using the elements shown in the small picture, or not? I mean, it can be possible, but it is necessary? because i feel it hides the sinousity of the main building...

FINAL BUILDING

FIRST MODEL (MIDTERMS)

Here, all the first attempt to translate my ideas into a building... after that, something else happened.

PRELIMINARY AREA PLAN

APPLIED TECHNIQUE

So, after all this is my technique, found by mistake. I like it generates a complicated, sutil, and sinous surface, using simple elements. i was looking in my mind to create this kind of element, to allow the sea water and the building be as one... now time to work more in details.

FINAL TECHNIQUE

Here, I tried to apply what i've learnt by doing that roof, to make an whole cover, where all the rooms will be integrated as they came out or grow out of the structure. this is a small part of the building, at the moment i'm doing the whole complex, hopefully will be finished tonight or tomorrow in the morning. It is a challenge because all the Archs must be perfectly aligned to achieve the continuity of the structural elements. To ahieve this the proportions of each part of the building must be observed carefully.

TECHNIQUE BREAK OUT

Well, I was working on the previous file, and i tried to make a roof, but at the end the roof was (for me) more interesting than the rest of the building, so i decided to follow this line.

THIRD TRYOUT

This is the evolution of the first tryout, neverthless it is still raw, but i see some organization on the structure, i will continue experimenting...

SECOND TRYOUT / COVER

Following the experiments, this one was made to achieve and understand a method to create a kind of cover for the closed areas in the building, using the same size of the poligons that conform the site mesh. At the end of the day, after trying several times with blend and wire tools, the logic behind the solution came up, and it was much easier than thought. All the techniques here shown, will be refined, in oder to be used in the final proposal.

FIRST TRYOUT

This is my first (of many) tryouts. I was exploring the use of Forking and Trifurcations, or like a friend of mine told me "Chicken Feets", as the main strategies to achieve a higher level of structural languaje complexity.

SITE MODEL

There was a little change in the strategy: I decided to work against the flow for a while in this early - middle stage of the project, to finish the huge site model, something that will be in the future (january) imposible to achieve, because of the the demand for the use of the laser cutter. It is at the moment in the workshop, all the pieces almost cutted.
